Pair. and a Spare.

Drunk, crying. in public. during Mardi Gras.  The worse part.. as if it could get any worse.. is this is the 2nd year she’s done this.

Being in love with your best guy friend sucks.  I know the feeling.. although I have much more self respect to get all upset for the fact that we’re not currently dating (although, I do have something in the works for that.. shady lady).  I also am not pining and waiting for his ass to figure out that we’re ridic compatible and would be an amazing couple, etc etc.  Who has the energy for that?

Apparently.. this girl.  Looking at her, she’s not strikingly pretty. She’s fit, so there’s that. She’s the kind of girl with way too much eyeliner on, at any given time.. so much so that it seems she never washes her face.  Not a good look.  She’s also a “guy’s girl.”  Abrasive, tells dick jokes, loves Star Wars/video games, and uses the words “cake farts” in her regular vocab.  Also a classmate of mine, so somehow she is also good on paper.  

The guy she’s in love with likes all the same things she does, hence why they’re best friends.. however, he dates girlier girls.  Ones that can laugh at the dick jokes, but is less vulgar in public than she is.  Gorgeous girls who are a fun time.  

So, we’re watching the parades, and this girl is borderline throwing a tantrum about this guy, who is obviously flirting with one of our prettier girlfriends. And I guess I try to console her.. but she has no self preservation and continues to cry on the street about how she’ll never be pretty enough for him.

Pause. Low self-confidence is never a good look. And your ugly cry face is making it worse.  So maybe he’s an idiot. But what is for sure, is that you definitely are right now.  Ladies, don’t be this girl.
