Listen, y’all. I don’t have the energy or time to sit in a bad date.  I don’t think anyone does, even if the entirety of your day is spent by the pool sipping cocktails (which, right now, sounds pretty damn good).. So. When I know that this date isn’t going anywhere, I’ma nip it in the bud, and give you a hug (I’m a nice southern lady after all) and thank you for meeting me.. and leave.

Which is what I did today.  Met this nice guy for coffee. 20 minutes in he’d already put up all the red flags he needed for the date to be over. 10 minutes later, I was in my car.

When a date goes well, I love dating. I like the antsy feeling right before you meet them.. I like getting to know new people. And I love that feeling you get right after a really good date.  Y’all know what I’m talking about.

Besides this kid’s piercing blue eyes, he had nothing to offer me as a partner.  Did not finish college (went a “whopping 3 semesters..”), has 2 roommates, is an “engineer” (which I normally dig.. but in real life, he’s a mechanic. I hate a liar), he lied about his height (if you’re shorter than me, and say you’re 5’10”.. you’re wrong.), and owns a cat (which I don’t respect for heterosexual men).  So. That’s that.

Good thing I have 2 more dates this evening.  Line them up, and knock em down.
